Outrenoir draws inspiration from Pierre Soulages' “beyond black” paintings. Five dancers, in unfamiliar territory, facing themselves, summon their own resources and the strength needed in this battle without an enemy. The aim is to highlight humanity's ability to “respond” to the individual and collective challenges it faces, transforming these internal and external tensions and conflicts into an outburst of energy.

Outrenoir was named in the “Top 27 Performances” by Telerama during the Avignon “Off” Festival in 2023.
